Budget Management for For-Profit Companies
My name is Floyd A. Simmons, and I am a CPA and financial consultant. My company is called BADR Consulting LLC. I have been a CPA for over thirty years.
The type of client that I am looking to help is listed below:
- For profit business
- Minority owned
- Especially women owned
- Company has a good service or product, but lacks structure (i.e. budget management, financial statement analysis & review, internal control implementation, etc.)
- The owner/managment has to care about following a budget and the numbers on the financial statements
- In house accountant or bookkeeper
I help companies establish a budget and then meet with them, on a monthly basis, to discuss actual vs budgeted results:
- If expectations aren’t being met, my job is to help figure out why?
- Why are sales lower than expected?
- Why is the company spending at a higher rate than expected?
I look at the current month 2026 and compare it to the same month during 2025
- What changed?
- I also compare YTD 2026 to YTD 2025
- Again, what changed?
Proper budgeting helps to control spending, which results in saving money. When you can save money you can:
- Avoid debt
- Have cash available to achieve your financial goals
Even if the company already has an established budget, I can still provide consultation by pointing out something that others perhaps may have overlooked.
I am not here to replace your accountant or bookkeeper, but to work with them to help your company achieve its financial goals.
